The HBZT TERMinate function is used to shut down the HostBridge for zIIP (HBz) environment in a CICS region. The termination process will delete the base control block for HBz and clean up any other storage that was used by HBz.
The format of the HBZT TERMinate command is:
There are no parameters associated with this function.
When you invoke the TERMinate function by typing in:
and press the Enter key, you will see a series of screens similar to:
The displays indicate that the following actions were taken:
- The active Server BASE was stopped and disabled
- The active Server JSE was stopped and disabled
- The HBz control block was deleted
If a TERMinate is attempted on an unINITialized HBz environment, you will receive the following message:
You should then press the Enter key to be able to invoke further HostBridge functions.
